Former Manchester City and Barcelona prospect Gai Assulin is training with Rangers, according to The Daily Record.

The Scottish newspaper has published a photo of the 24-year-old training with the Rangers squad today on their website (click here to see it).

Who is Gai Assulin?

Assulin is a 24-year-old Israel international who can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.

The attacker progressed through Barcelona’s youth academy and played for the Catalan club’s B side.

However, Assulin failed to break into the Barcelona first team and moved to Premier League outfit City in December 2010.

The Israeli, though, struggled to play for the Citizens’ first team despite his talent and joined Spanish club Racing Santander in 2012.

Assulin joined Granada in the summer of 2013 and was immediately loaned out to Hercules for the 2013-14 season.

In the summer of 2014, the Israel international switched to Real Mallorca, who are currently in the Segunda Division, and left at the end of the 2014-15 season.
