To be played on Saturday 17th October 2015 at 14:00. Venue: Stamford Bridge, London
Odds: Chelsea 1/3, Draw 4/1, Aston Villa 8/1
Chelsea welcome Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge on Saturday with both sides needing victories to climb up the table.
That is not something Blues fans would have expected to hear at the start of the campaign, but Jose Mourinho’s side has struggled all season and their 3-1 defeat to Southampton last time out means they are currently 16th in the league with just eight points from a possible 24.
As for Villa, they are 18th in the table with just four points to date and the pressure is on manager Tim Sherwood to get all his new players performing effectively and consistently.
This one really could go either way considering both sides’ struggles, but if Chelsea lose the pressure on Mourinho could be intolerable.
In early team news, Chelsea are without goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois while defender Branislav Ivanovic has just a 25 per cent chance of recovering from a hamstring injury.
Villa are still without Gary Gardner and Jores Okore and they have minor doubts regarding Ciaran Clark, Adama Traore, Gabby Agbonlahor and Tiago Ilori.
