The Newcastle United players were training on Thursday ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against Norwich City at home.
Newcastle will be looking to register their first win of the season on Sunday when they take on Norwich at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies will head into the game on the back of a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
It will not be easy for Steve McClaren’s side to get the better of the Canaries on Sunday, and the players have been training hard.
Among the Newcastle players training on Thursday was Gael Bigirimana, a 21-year-old midfielder who joined the Premier League outfit from Coventry City in the summer of 2012.
The former England Under-20 international is a forgotten figure at St. James’ Park and was sent out on loan to Scottish Championship side Rangers for the second half of last season.
The 21-year-old, who played 13 times in the Premier League during the 2012-13 season, has yet to make appearance in the English top flight this term.
Another Newcastle player who was training on Thursday was Ayoze Perez, who has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United in the January transfer window.
According to The Chronicle, United are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old forward, who has scored one goal and created three chances in six Premier League matches so far this season.
