Newcastle United-owned forward Alex Gilliead has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at extending his loan deal with Carlisle United.
Gilliead moved to League Two outfit Carlisle on a youth loan in September until October 2015, and he will now remain at Brunton Park until the end of the season.
Macaulay Gillesphey also joined the Cumbrians for 28 days from Newcastle, and he, too, will remain with them until the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
Both are 19 years of age, and both are excited to remain part of the Carlisle team for the rest of the season.
Very happy to have extended my loan at @officialcufc until the end of the season— Macaulay Gillesphey (@gillesphey) October 15, 2015
Gilliead made his debut for Carlisle against York City last month, providing two assists in the process.
The 19-year-old forward has made five appearances for Keith Curle’s side so far this season.
Gillesphey, who is 19 years of age and plays as a midfielder, made his debut for Carlisle against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup tie. The teenager has also made four appearances in League Two.
