Hibernian striker James Keatings has told The Scotsman that his side can catch Scottish Championship leaders Rangers.
Rangers have been the best team in the second tier of Scottish football so far this season and have won all nine of their league games.
The Gers have picked up 27 points from nine matches and are nine points clear of Raith Rovers, who are second in the standings at the moment.
Hibernian are currently third in the Scottish Championship table with 16 points from eight matches.
While most Scottish football observers would claim that Rangers are pretty much guaranteed the title, Hibernian striker Keatings believes that the Glasgow giants can be caught.
“Rangers can definitely be caught," the former Celtic prospect told The Scotsman. "In this league, teams can drop points anywhere – there are plenty tough away games. Rangers haven’t won the league yet. We showed at Ibrox we can cause them problems.”
“When you’re winning every week, people outside try and put pressure on you to see if you can keep it going,” added Keatings. “Rangers will feel that pressure.
"We saw St Johnstone beat them recently so they can be beaten and both Falkirk and ourselves have given them a real good run for their money at Ibrox.”
While Keatings has a point about Rangers not having won the Scottish Championship title yet, it will a huge surprise if they do not.
Rangers have the best squad in the second tier of Scottish football and are in great form at the moment.
Will the Gers suffer a spectacular collapse and lose four or five league games on the trot? Probably not.
