Kane has found the target just once in the top flight of English football so far this season.
“Look at Sergio Aguero,” former Tottenham boss Redknapp wrote in The London Evening Standard. “He scores one League goal all season and then gets five in one game for City against Newcastle. It turns so quickly for strikers.
“Kane might not have scored for three weeks but it’s just around the corner and he’ll end up with 15 League goals without too much trouble. If he does that, Spurs have a chance of getting into the top four.”
Redknapp was referring to Sergio Aguero’s performance for Manchester City against Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium before the international break.
The Argentina international scored as many as five goals, as the Citizens won the Premier League encounter 6-1.
It is not feasible that Kane will score five goals in a Premier League game anytime soon - Aguero is the world’s best striker and Newcastle are simply woeful.
However, Redknapp does have a point about Kane. If the 22-year-old scores in two or three successive matches, then he will get his form back.
The youngster is not lacking in confidence and he is not afraid to shoot either. Goals will come for him.
