According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach to bring current Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici to White Hart Lane, but before Spurs fans get too excited, well-respected Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has a word of warning.
Writing on his official website on Thursday, Di Marzio claimed Paratici will not be leaving Juventus any time soon.
In fact he suggested that while Tottenham may be keen on bringing him in to replace the now departed Franco Baldini, Paratici’s ongoing importance to Juventus means a parting of the ways is simply not on the agenda.
Paratici is said to have an excellent working relationship with Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta and the former is regarded as a key component of the Turin-based club’s hierarchy.
If Di Marzio is to be believed, the alleged Tottenham target will remain at Juventus for the foreseeable future, continuing in his attempts to bring further success to the club.
So those Tottenham fans hoping Paratici would ultimately arrive and work his magic as he did in signing the likes of Paul Pogba and Carlos Tevez may have to temper their expectations somewhat.
