Crystal Palace team-mate has high praise for Nottingham Forest loanee Jonathan Williams

Selhurst Park - Crystal Palace - 23/02/2014

The midfielder has recently returned from a groin problem.

Nottingham Forest completed an impressive looking loan deal in September, when they confirmed that Jonathan Williams would be at the club from Crystal Palace until mid-January.

However he has so far played just once as he continues his recovery from a string of injury problems.

But he recently played for 86 minutes against Andorra in a recent international for Wales and it is looking like he might get some more game time at Nottingham Forest before his loan deal concludes in January.

One man who is pleased with his progress is Crystal Palace and Wales team-mate Joe Ledley.

The bearded midfielder told the Palace website this week:

"Jonny played in the first couple of games and it's great to see him coming back after such a long injury spell out.

"He's a key player for us, because of what he does, and hopefully we can keep him fit now so you can see the best of him."

Williams has not played for Palace in some time. He has not featured for the Eagles since last September and has so far featured for just 15 minutes with his current loan team Forest so his return to fitness will need to be more permanent than some of his previous comebacks.

Ledley, as well as fans of both Palace and Forest, will be hoping that Williams can now get a good run of games under his belt.
