The West Ham player who needs to step up after the international break

Michail Antonio is struggling to get into the West Ham United team after joining from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Michail Antonio was one of the best players in the Championship last season and arguably the best for Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old winger scored 14 goals and created 62 chances in 46 Championship appearances for the Reds.

At times, Antonio carried the team on his own, and much is expected of the Englishman at West Ham.

However, the winger is struggling to even get into Slaven Bilic’s starting lineup at the moment, let alone impress in the Premier League.

The former Sheffield Wednesday star has played just 31 minutes in the English top flight for the Hammers, failing to score a single goal or create a single chance.

One of the reasons why Antonio is still getting used to being at the Boleyn Ground is that he joined West Ham on transfer deadline day.

The former Reading man did not have a pre-season with the London outfit, and perhaps that is affecting him.

However, Antonio needs to step up his game from now on and impress Bilic in training if he wants to feature regularly for the first team.
