Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt has to regain his form soon.
Alex Mowatt is one of the best young players in the Championship, but the Leeds United midfielder has been struggling this season.
The 20-year-old has created only seven chances in 10 league appearances for the Whites so far this campaign.
Mowatt has completed the full 90 minutes just once in the Championship this term, and it seems that he is struggling to adapt to Uwe Rosler’s system.
One of the main reasons behind the youngster’s struggles is his failure to find a consistent position.
The Englishman is an all-round midfield player, and under Rosler he has been deployed in a more advanced position. Under Neil Redfearn last season, Mowatt played mostly as a deep-lying playmaker.
If Rosler does not change his system, then Mowatt will have to adapt and start producing the goods.
The 20-year-old may be a very talented and promising young player, but Rosler is unlikely to persevere with him if he does not start creating chances and providing assists soon.
