Tottenham are hoping to sign Barcelona youngster Sandro in January, although Newcastle retain their interest.
Sandro Ramirez looks to be on the verge of leaving Barcelona, and a report in Catalan media outlet Sport has indicated that Tottenham Hotspur have already entered negotiations concerning his signing in the January transfer window.
Sandro has been gifted good first-team opportunities this term with Barca, playing five times in La Liga, and twice in the Supercopa. However, he has still only been a back-up, and his placing in the team will drop further in January, when Alexis Vidal and Arda Turan are legally registered to play for Barca.
This has caused the 20-year-old winger to consider leaving Camp Nou, and Tottenham’s offer is said to be interesting the Catalan giants.
The report claims that Luis Enrique will look at moving Sandro on, although it will depend on Barca bringing more attacking reinforcements in, and any deal will have to include a buy back clause, in case Sandro lives up to his potential in the Premier League.
Tottenham look well set to move for Sandro, having already opened negotiations, but they do face competition from one of their Premier League rivals.
The report claims that Newcastle have long been watching the winger, and failed in moves for him in January 2014, and then the summer transfer window of 2015. However, this has not deterred the Tyneside club, with the Magpies expected to return with an offer for the youngster knowing that Barca are open to selling him.
