The Leeds United midfielder has been on England under-19 duty.
Leeds United have been given a new fitness boost ahead of the visit of Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.
The Whites welcome The Seagulls to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon and are desperate for a home success. They have not won on their own turf since February and lost their last game at home to Birmingham City 2-0, in a rather drab display.
But they will be able to call upon Lewis Cook for the game despite his busy schedule in the international break.
Cook was with the England under-19 squad for three European Championship qualifiers this week. He sat out the fixture with Macedonia but featured against Italy and Finland - setting up the winning goal in the latter fixture.
Despite this busy schedule he has returned to Leeds unscathed and after a day off Wednesday will return to first-team training tomorrow (Thursday) to finish preparations for the fixture with Brighton at the weekend, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Cook will therefore be expected to start in Uwe Rosler's midfield trio as they try to pick up some crucial points and move away from the relegation zone.
