Taking a closer look at some of Celtic's next generation of players.
With another international break upon us, what better time to turn the focus on some of the talented teenagers currently making waves at Celtic?
Bhoys manager Ronny Deila has already shown he is not afraid to give players a chance if they are deemed good enough and below are three of the very best Celtic under-20 players right now.
Arguably the pick of the bunch, Aidan Nesbitt is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who can also play on either wing if required.
He made his first-team debut as a very late substitute against Raith Rovers in the Scottish League Cup earlier this season and netted a hat-trick in the UEFA Youth League against Helsinki after regularly training with and travelling with the senior side.
Another 18-year-old, midfielder Joe Thompson made his Celtic debut against Dundee United back in August and while he has plenty of work to do before becoming a regular feature of Deila’s side, he is very much one to watch.
Kieran Tierney has been impressing for Celtic’s under-20 side for some time now and the 18-year-old left-back already has five senior appearances for the club.
Tierney is the closest to featuring regularly under Deila and by the time the other two on this list are doing that, the young defender could have plenty of experience under his belt.
