Leicester City youngster Tom Lawrence reacts on Twitter after making international debut for Wales

Leicester City - King Power Stadium

Leicester City winger Tom Lawrence made his first appearance for Wales against Andorra.

Leicester City youngster Tom Lawrence has spoken on social media site Twitter of his delight at earning his first senior cap for Wales.

Lawrence came off the substitutes' bench at half-time against Andorra on Tuesday night, and helped his nation to pick up a 2-0 win.

Goals from Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey and Real Madrid's Gareth Bale secured a comfortable victory for Chris Coleman's men in a raucous atmosphere at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Wales had already confirmed their place at Euro 2016 prior to their match against Andorra, but they will be delighted to have ended their qualification campaign on a high.

Lawrence was given a relaxed introduction to international football, as he was able to play in an unpressurised environment.

The 21-year-old will now be hoping to be a part of Chris Coleman's squad which travels to France next summer.

Crucial to this will be his club form, with Lawrence currently seeing plenty of competitive action while out on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
