Taking to his personal Twitter account, Jack Sullivan has admitted that West Ham are always looking at potential signings, although stating that good deals are hard to come by in the January window.
We are always looking for new players! Yet you rarely get a good deal in January. You will have to wait and see https://t.co/kBFStTidTe— Jack Sullivan (@jsullivanwhu) October 14, 2015
The Hammers completed a wealth of transfer business in the summer transfer window, bringing in 13 players across various age groups - including a number of stars who immediately moved into the first-team set-up.
However, any team that has ambitions to keep moving forward needs to continue improving their squad, and utilising the January transfer window could be the difference between the Hammers qualifying for Europe or finishing mid-table.
Sullivan has confirmed that the Irons are always looking for players to bring in, and this gives hope that Slaven Bilic has already identified the weak areas in his squad and is planning winter reinforcements.
However, the chairman’s son has also admitted that deals could be scuppered due to potential transfer fees, with clubs often raising the prices of their players in January knowing that buying sides will pay the inflated prices if they are desperate.
West Ham are targeting a top finish this season, and it would be no surprise to see the Hammers bring in one or two players in January to help them on their way to this kind of finish.
