Fiorentina said to be scouting reported Tottenham target Moses Simon

The young Nigerian winger has allegedly got another potential suitor.

According to a report from, Italian side Fiorentina are the latest club to be tracking Gent winger Moses Simon.

Tottenham Hotspur fans will have become familiar with that name following a report from the Mirror claiming Mauricio Pochettino side have long been tracking the 20-year-old.

The same reported suggested Tottenham were also keeping an eye on Simon’s teammate Laurent Depoitre but it is the younger of the two that is the more exciting potential target.

Simon is predominantly a left winger although he can also play on the opposite flank or as a secondary striker if required, and such is his pace, trickery and goal-scoring ability that he could go down a storm at Tottenham if he arrived.

Having scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists for AS Trencin and netting seven times in 28 appearances for Gent, Simon is the real deal, but other such is his talent that other clubs were always going to notice.

The latest story from claims Fiorentina are now tracking the player as they look to strengthen their squad further having got off to a flier in Serie A this season. So could Tottenham make their move quickly when the time comes? Watch this space…
