Alexis Sanchez reacts to Real Madrid speculation, confirms Arsenal return via Twitter

The Arsenal forward has been discussing reports linking him with a return to Spain.

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has responded to transfer reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid by saying he is 'comfortable' and 'very happy' in north London, according to Goal.com.

Indeed, the 26-year-old has been phenomenal since moving to the capital and appears as though he is in no way considering leaving Arsenal. In the above tweet, he has also made his allegiance to his current club very clear.

The Chilean told reporters, with Goal.com suggesting it was in response to the Madrid speculation:

"I have no idea what the media are saying but I feel comfortable at Arsenal. I'm happy with my team-mates and the city of London is beautiful. I'm not going to change, I'm very happy."

Bizarre?

It really would be bizarre of Real Madrid were they to try and prise Sanchez away from Arsenal.

Firstly, the suggested transfer fee is far too low. Secondly, the Chilean is clearly happy with the Gunners and would never be guaranteed anywhere near as much of a central role at Real Madrid.

At the Bernabeu, Sanchez would play second fiddle to Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. At Arsenal, he is appreciated and borderline worshipped for the quality player he is.

The fact the 26-year-old is ex-Barcelona would also hardly endear him to the Real fans, while Madrid could be seen by sceptics as ultimately signing a player Barca had initially gotten rid of. No wonder he doesn't sound too keen...
