New Premier League statistics have revealed that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is the stand out leader as the player with the most sprints to his name this season.
This revelation comes as part of new research conducted by Sky Sports to find the player who has completed the most individual sprints so far this term.
Using the EA Player Performance Index, which tracks real time player movement and highlights how far and how fast an individual runs, the football broadcaster found that Ramsay was the runaway leader when it came to sprints completed.
Under this data collection system, sprints are defined as any run in excess of 25.2 kilometres per hour, with each sprint logged.
The results show that the Wales midfielder has made 560 sprints in the Premier League for Arsenal this term, with Watford's Ikechi Anya next in the countdown having racked up 533.
Bournemouth's Simon Francis is third with 519, just ahead of Jason Puncheon on 517.
Matt Ritchie, also of Bournemouth, completes the top five with 506, while another Arsenal star makes the top 10, with Nacho Monreal ninth after completing 457.
No Chelsea players feature in the top 10, with Eden Hazard the best placed at 13th with 446.
Nathaniel Clyne is the best placed Liverpool star in seventh with 475, while Aleksandar Kolarov is the highest ranked Manchester City man in 11th with 452.
Most surprising of all, however, is the revelation that no Manchester United stars feature in the top 20, despite sitting third in the Premier League.
