Grading Tottenham’s summer signings: Son gets A, B for N’Jie

Tottenham Hotspur signed Kevin Wimmer, Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, Clinton N’Jie and Son Heung-min in the summer transfer window.

Son Heung-min - A

Son Heung-min has been one of the best signings of the summer in the Premier League and one of the best players for Tottenham.

The South Korea international has scored one goal and created two chances in three league matches for Spurs.

The 23-year-old has scored twice and created one chance in one Europa League appearances for the North London outfit.

The energy, desire and movement shown by Son have been admirable, and he is fast proving to be indispensable for head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Clinton N’Jie - B

It is hard to judge Clinton N’Jie, as the summer signing from Lyon has yet to start a Premier League match this season.

The Cameroon international forward did not have the fitness level required when he initially moved to White Hart Lane, and he has played just 55 minutes of Premier League.

The 22-year-old has not scored, but he has created two chances and a pass accuracy of 73%.

Toby Alderweireld - A

Toby Alderweireld is proving to be a very good signing for Tottenham, thanks to his experience at Southampton in the Premier League last season.

The Belgium international has been a rock at the heart of Spurs’ defence and has been one of the North London outfit’s best players so far this term.

The 26-year-old is calm and composed, and he also reads the game well.

Kieran Trippier - N/A

Kieran Trippier has not made a single appearance in the Premier League for Tottenham this season.

Kevin Wimmer - N/A

Like Trippier, Wimmer has not got enough chances to be judged.
