Grading Leeds United’s summer signings: Bamba gets B+, Wood A-

Leeds United signed Lee Erwin, Sol Bamba, Chris Wood, Ross Turnbull, Stuart Dallas and Jordan Botaka in the summer transfer window.

Lee Erwin - N/A

Lee Erwin joined Leeds United from Scottish club Motherwell in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old is a talented young forward, but he is not yet ready for the Championship and has been loaned out to League One outfit Bury.

Sol Bamba - B+

Sol Bamba joined Leeds on a permanent contract in the summer from Palermo after playing on loan last season and has continued to play well.

The Ivory Coast international central defender has been one of the best players for the Whites so far this season.

In 10 Championship appearances this campaign, the 30-year-old has created three chances, has a pass accuracy of 78%, and has won 38 headers, eight dribbles and 20 tackles.

Chris Wood - A-

Chris Wood’s main job at Leeds is to score goals, and from that perspective the New Zealand international striker has done excellently.

The former Leicester man has scored four goals and created 12 chances in nine Championship appearances.

One area where Wood needs to work on in his shooting: he has a shot accuracy of just 22%.

Ross Turnbull - N/A

The goalkeeper has not been given the chances to show what he is capable of.

Stuart Dallas - B

Stuart Dallas has established himself as a regular in the Whites’ starting lineup and has featured in all 10 Championship games for the West Yorkshire outfit.

The former Brentford attacker has created 13 chances, has a pass accuracy of 73% and a shot accuracy of 44%, and has been overall encouraging.

Jordan Botaka - B-

It is too early to give a verdict on Jordan Botaka, as he has featured just twice in the Championship for Leeds so far this campaign.

The early signs are good, though, as the 22-year-old former Excelsior attacker has created two chances and has a pass accuracy of 83%.

Tom Adeyemi - B+

Tom Adeyemi joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Championship rivals Cardiff City in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old midfielder has established himself in Uwe Rosler’s starting lineup, featuring in nine Championship games so far this season.
