6 Key Passes in 66 minutes: England and Liverpool ace Lallana dominates Lithuania

Adam Lallana was a constant headache for Lithuania's defence as the Liverpool star helped England to a 3-0 win.

Adam Lallana played just over an hour against Lithuania, but played a key role in England winning their 10th Euro 2016 qualifier out of 10.

Teammate and Merseyside rival Ross Barkley will grab the headlines for his early goal, and perhaps rightly so; Lallana though was England's most creative player.

Lallana created six goalscoring chances against Lithuania, twice as many as Barkley.

Betweeen them Barkley and Lallana made nine key passes, with the rest of the England starters managing seven between them.

Considering the Liverpool star played just 66 minutes, his feat was even more impressive, with one of his lay-offs going to Harry Kane to force home England's second goals of the game.

  MatchKey PassesMins Played
Adam Lallana Liverpool vs Arsenal 5 90
Adam Lallana Swansea vs Liverpool 4 88
Adam Lallana Liverpool vs Burnley 4 90

This betters any of his displays for Liverpool in the Premier League, managing more than four key passes in just three matches since joining.

Lallana's four dribbles in the 3-0 win was also the second highest in the England XI, bettered only by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's seven.

His statistical brilliance may say a lot about just how weak an opposition Lithuania were, but Lallana excelled more than his teammates, and the confidence boost will do his club form no harm at all.
