Jordan Botaka showed his eye for goal as he helped DR Congo defeat Gabon 2-1.
The Leeds United new boy finished from close range to score a rebound, showing quick reactions and his ability to be decisive.
Botaka opened the scoring in the friendly fixture, before Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang equalised.
Yet both players were upstaged by Newcastle United centre-back Chancel Mbemba, a summer signing from Anderlecht.
The defender scored from long range after showing quick feet to create space to shoot at goal, netting the winner for DR Congo, with Botaka among the players running to congratulate him.
Both Newcastle and Leeds are in need of better luck when Premier League and Championship football returns, with the Toon likely to simply be glad Mbemba came through unscathed, having seen Tim Krul suffer a season ending injury for Holland at the weekend.
The duo will hope to bring their goalscoring form back to England with them, as well as getting a confidence boost from their exploits.
