Paulinho sends message to Erik Lamela; shows he is still thinking about Tottenham

The Brazilian international has been communicating with his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate on social media.

One-time Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho has taken to Twitter to send a message to his former teammate Erik Lamela.

The Argentine international posed a picture of himself in training during the international break and Paulinho was quick to comment on the image of Lamela controlling the ball.

Lamela has been in fine form for Tottenham this season and his manager Mauricio Pochettino will no doubt be hoping he returns to the club fit and firing for the challenges ahead.

“Crack,” Paulinho wrote, followed by “COYS” which suggests his former club is still very much in his thoughts despite his new challenge.

The Brazilian midfielder left White Hart Lane in the summer, making a somewhat surprising switch to China to play for Guangzhou Evergrande for £9.9million (as reported by the BBC).

That put an end to a relatively disappointing spell in North London, in which time Paulinho played 67 times for Tottenham, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in the process.

The 27-year-old may not have showed his true potential in England but he is still young enough to get a second wind, even if that is in the unexpected surroundings of the Chinese Super League.
