Worldwide announced Mid-Market M&A deals valued up to $500 million (including undisclosed value deals) totaled US$649.4 billion for the first nine months of 2015, a 0.4% decrease year-on-year.

Estimated global fees generated from completed Mid-Market M&A activity reached almost US$3 billion for the first nine months of 2015, according to estimates by Thomson Reuters and Freeman Consulting.

The Asia-Pacific (ex Central Analysis) region (by target domicile) led the market, with over US$272.2 billion of announced deal activity, representing almost 41.9% share of the market.

The European region (by target domicile) led the market in deal count, with 10,665 deals for the first nine months of 2015, representing 34.9% of the 30,538 deals announced worldwide.

The Real Estate sector comprised 15.8% of announced value, followed by High Technology and Industrials, with 13.8% and 12.2% of the total market, respectively.
