Celtic's Nir Bitton has scored five goals in 18 appearances so far this season.
Israel coach Eli Guttman has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he has been delighted with the improvement that Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton has made.
Bitton scored an absolute corker during Israel's loss to Cyprus in their most recent outing, confirming the 23-year-old's place as one of his nation's most talented stars.
The goal left Guttman purring with praise for Bitton, even though Israel's chances of qualifying for Euro 2016 now look limited.
"If all of the players were like Nir Bitton we'd be in good shape," Guttman said. "Nir could become a real great in football. He has improved so much and is a fantastic talent."
Bitton's improvements have been particularly noticeable at Celtic, where he has grown from an inconsistent performer into one of the first names on their team sheet.
Bitton has developed the passing side of his game, while he has also proven to be a very effective shield for their defence.
So far this season, the central-midfielder has scored five goals in 18 appearances for club and country.
Bitton's next match for Israel comes against Belgium tomorrow evening, before his attention will return to Celtic, who take on Motherwell at the weekend.
