Harry Kewell takes on his former club Leeds United today as his Watford under-21 side host the Whites.
The match kicks off at 1.30pm, with Watford the home side.
Kewell is undertaking his first job in coaching, a surprise appointment for Watford back in August.
He has had a tough start, failing to win in any of his first seven games in charge, picking up his first victory against Nottingham Forest in late September.
His reunion with Leeds is noteworthy for other reasons. Kewell was one of the stars of Leeds United's team back in the early 2000s, but ruined that by joining Galatasaray.
Two Leeds fans were killed ahead of a UEFA Cup clash between the two sides, and Kewell is now disregarded as a person of value by supporters of his old club.
Kewell told The Guardian earlier this year: "It’s all about opinions but my idea was about bringing the clubs together. You’ve also got to look at it as after my Liverpool career, what was I supposed to do? I still wanted to play football and that was the only club that really showed interest. As much as I know it hurts them, I hope one day they will [forgive it]. They probably never will. That’s football, everybody has their opinions. I loved Leeds but I also loved Galatasaray"
This is the only scheduled match between Leeds and Watford this season at under-21 level, with Kewell perhaps fortunate to avoid a return game in Yorkshire.
