Tottenham Hotspur supporters have plenty to be excited about.
The international break allows fans to reflect on their club’s campaign to date, and when it comes to Tottenham Hotspur there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side is currently eighth in the Premier League with 13 points from their first eight matches, and after an eventful start to the new season here are a few reasons for their fans to be relatively happy:
The points gap
Tottenham may currently be eighth but they are only three points behind second-placed Arsenal and five points behind leaders Manchester City. With a few good results Spurs could easily get back into the top-four and stay there.
Welcome injury boosts
Tottenham have been without Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason for a while now but according to a report from the London Evening Standard the duo look set to return for the huge game against Liverpool, and with Eric Dier suspended that is a timely boost.
Exciting new signings
Tottenham have already seen what Heung-Min Son can do in front of goal but £10million summer singing Clinton N’Jie is more of a mystery and the return to domestic action should see the Cameroon international shine in North London.
A player transformed
Returning to Dier, the England under-21 international has been nothing short of brilliant since moving from centre-back to defensive midfielder and his emergence is a big reason for optimism at Tottenham right now.
Wonderful young talent
The next generation of Spurs players are already knocking on the door, with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Harry Winks and company ooking good for a future breakthrough.
But they are just the tip of the iceberg with the likes of Shayon Harrison, Marcus Edwards and Kazaiah Sterling all set to be future first-team stars.
