Newcastle United duo Georginio Wijnaldum and Tim Krul were in action for the Netherlands in the Euro 2016 qualifiers on Saturday.

Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the Netherlands’ narrow win against Kazakhstan in Astana on Saturday evening.

The Netherlands registered a 2-1 victory at the Astana Arena in the Euro 2016 Group A qualifier, thanks to goals from Wijnaldum and Wesley Sneijder.

The Oranje are now fourth in Group A with 13 points from nine matches, two points behind third-place Turkey.

Danny Blind’s side will face the Czech Republic at the Amsterdam ArenA on Tuesday.

Wijnaldum is delighted with the Netherlands’ win on Saturday and is targeting all three points on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Netherlands international winger Eljero Elia has sent a ‘get well soon’ message to teammate Tim Krul on Twitter.

The Newcastle goalkeeper suffered a knee injury against Kazakhstan and left the stadium in crutches.

The injury suffered by the 27-year-old is pretty bad, and Feyenoord winger Elia hopes that he recovers soon.
