Nottingham Forest talent Ben Osborn uses time out to take opportunity to watch some non-league football

Nottingham Forest 2

The midfielder was free because of the international break.

It's the international break meaning that for players in the Premier League and the Championship who have not been given the privilege of a call-up for their respective nations it could be a rather boring weekend at home.

Some club's have held behind closed doors friendly fixtures whilst others have been called in to extra training.

However it would seem that Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn took his opportunity to go see some 'real' football this weekend.

It was National Non-League Football weekend and Osborn caught a local game between St Andrews and Holbrook in the East Midlands Counties League yesterday.

He posted this tweet from the game, which may have given a clue to the standard of the game that took place:

Osborn is of course a local lad at Nottingham Forest and he must have had some connection to the game in order to take time out of his schedule to check it out.

But it was good to see a professional player lending his support to non-league football this weekend gone.
