West Ham left Anfield with a 3-0 win. But they weren't motivated with the most conventional of methods!
West Ham United coach Julian Dicks says manager Slaven Bilic motivated his side ahead of their 3-0 win at Liverpool by playing some Megadeth songs in the dressing room, according to the Sunday People.
Indeed, Dicks and Bilic will be attending a Megadeth concert next month and it turns out the Croat has already used the metal band's songs to inspire his West Ham team.
Dicks told the People: "The gaffer’s got me and him tickets [to a Megadeth concert].
"He put on a couple of their songs at Liverpool. It seemed to lift the mood of the dressing room."
If West Ham are to maintain their impressive start to the Premier League season - and not see their 'bubble burst' - they'll have to produce further solidity in the coming weeks.
Indeed, next up for the Hammers is a trip to Crystal Palace, while Chelsea visit Upton Park the following week.
After that, West Ham travel to Watford and host Everton. None of those four games can be considered easy based on current form and the overall competitiveness of the top flight.
But trips to Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool certainly weren't easy yet the east London side made them look it. With a little help from Megadeth, of course...
