West Ham fans send message to Allardyce on Twitter after Sunderland appointment

Sam Allardyce

Former West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce is the new Sunderland boss.

West Ham United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the appointment of Sam Allardyce as the Sunderland manager.

The former Newcastle United and West Ham boss has been made the new Sunderland manager on a two-year contract.

Allardyce was without a managerial job, having left Premier League outfit West Ham at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

The 60-year-old was in charge of the Hammers for four years from the summer of 2011 till the end of the 2014-15 season.

The former Bolton Wanderers manager got the London outfit promoted from the Championship and made them a respectable mid-table Premier League team.

However, the football that West Ham played under Allardyce was not to the taste of the fans, many of whom are happy that he is no longer in charge.

Following the appointment of Allardyce as Sunderland manager on Friday, West Ham fans took to Twitter to have their say.
