Sunderland fans send message to Sam Allardyce on Twitter

Sam Allardyce Press Conference 12/02/2014

Sam Allardyce has been appointed the new Sunderland manager.

Sunderland fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the appointment of Sam Allardyce as their manager.

The former Newcastle United and West Ham United boss has been made the new Sunderland manager on a two-year contract.

Allardyce was without a managerial job, having left Premier League outfit West Ham at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

The Englishman knows the Premier League inside out, and he has been entrusted with the task of keeping Sunderland in the top flight of English football.

Sunderland have been dire so far this season and find themselves in the Premier League relegation zone at the moment.

The Black Cats are second from bottom in the league table with just three points from eight matches, five points behind 17th-place West Bromwich Albion.

Following the announcement of Allardyce’s appointment on Friday evening, Sunderland fans took to Twitter to have their say.
