The teenage keeper will be hoping to follow in some illustrious footsteps.
Celtic have plenty of good young talent coming through the ranks. One such player is goalkeeper Aidan McAdams.
The 16-year-old talent is highly rated at Celtic Park. He has featured in the UEFA Youth League for the club and is also a Scotland Under-17 level.
He has spent some time training with the first-team and in time Celtic will be hoping he goes on to become a first-team regular in years to come.
The teenager has now been speaking to Shoot magazine about his time at Celtic and his heroes growing up.
As a keeper it was no surprise to see custodians on his list, with a Manchester United man joining a former Celtic hero on his list.
“As an aspiring goalkeeper, I always looked up to Edwin van der Sar – he was playing for Manchester United as I was growing up watching football and I’ve always looked up to him.
"From a Celtic point of view, Artur Boruc was my favourite player as a kid. I’ve always played in goal, never outfield, so it is those players who I look up to.”
Of course the Dutchman needs no justification as a hero to goalkeepers. The former United man was an exceptional stopper throughout his career and some may argue United's best.
Boruc, now at Bournemouth, was never boring at Celtic. The Pole often found himself making headlines for the wrong reasons but he also had a habit for incredible saves and inspiring rearguard performances.
So McAdams certainly is following in the footsteps of some good idols.
