Arsenal fans react on Twitter as Santi Cazorla scores brace for Spain

Santi Cazorla Spain

The midfielder has continued his good form on international duty.

It has certainly been a good international break from Arsenal players. Alexis Sanchez scored for Chile in a win against Brazil earlier in the week whilst last night saw Theo Walcott net for England.

Meanwhile, in Spain, Santi Cazorla was scoring his first competitive goal for Spain since 2009. The Arsenal midfielder had not scored in a competitive fixture for Spain since a 3-0 win against Estonia in September 2009 when he was still a Villarreal player.

In recent weeks he has proven himself a key member of the Arsenal first-team and has even worn the captain's armband on occasions, so his performance for Spain will come as no surprise to Gunners fans.

His first goal was simple enough. He capitalised on a rebounded shot before slotting into the roof of the net to give Spain a 1-0 lead against minnows Luxembourg.

His second goal was far more impressive. He burst forward from midfield to drive a low strike across the keeper. His brace along with one of his own for Paco Alcacer saw Spain run out 4-0 winners in Logrono and secured their place at the European Championships in 2016, where they will be aiming to defend their title from 2012.

Here is how Twitter reacted to his performance for Spain...
