HITC Sport understands former Crystal Palace coach Ben Garner has linked up with Tony Pulis at West Bromwich Albion.
West Bromwich Albion have named former Crystal Palace coach Ben Garner as the club's new first-team coach, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Garner left Palace earlier this summer after turning down a a role with the academy set-up at Selhurst Park.
The former Palace coach was promoted to a first-team role with the Eagles at the end of 2012/2013 season, when Ian Holloway was in charge
Garner had been a fixture on the club's senior coach team in recent seasons, working under Holloway, Tony Pulis, Neil Warnock and Alan Pardew.
Garner's agent, Stephen Harrison of Beswicks Sports, confirmed the switch to West Brom and is confident he will forge a successful coaching team with Pulis.
"It has been a pleasure working with Ben having met on the Beswicks Sports Crystal Palace North American pre-season tour in 2014," Harrison told Beswicks Sports' official website. "He is without doubt one of the most exciting new talents in English coaching, with an increasingly impressive CV and a refreshing, modern, dynamic philosophy and coaching method.
"Being chased by a second English Premiership club within a three-year period has to be a positive indication of things to come."
West Brom are currently sat just outside the top-flight drop zone, taking eight points from as many games in the 2015/16 campaign.
