The former West Ham and Newcastle boss has named his all-time best XI.
He has places for players from all four of the aforementioned clubs, but Kevin Nolan cannot find his place in the side, despite playing under Allardyce at Bolton, Newcastle and then West Ham.
Despite Nolan’s absence, Allardyce does name a team which possesses a wealth of talent, experience and foreign flair.
Three players feature who turned out under Allardyce at West Ham - Winston Reid, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Stewart Downing - whilst Jaaskelainen also played for the manager at Bolton.
The Trotters have a large selection of players involved, with the goalkeeper joining Ricardo Gardner, Jay Jay Okocha, Fernando Hierro, Gary Speed, Youri Djorkaeff and Nicolas Anelka.
Newcastle have Habib Beye selected, whilst Blackburn’s Ryan Nelson partners his international compatriot Reid in central defence.
Allardyce has worked with a wealth of talent during his long career, and he is sure to continue working in the Premier League, making his player pool for a potential best XI even bigger in the coming years.
Allardyce's full best XI is as follows:
Jussi Jaaskelainen; Habib Beye, Ryan Nelson, Winston Reid, Ricardo Gardner; Jay Jay Okocha, Fernando Hierro, Gary Speed; Stewart Downing, Nicolas Anelka, Youri Djorkaeff
