Report: Aston Villa starlet Jack Grealish to be offered new deal imminently

The talented midfielder is set to be rewarded for his recent progression.

Aston Villa starlet Jack Grealish is to be offered a new and improved contract imminently, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year old signed a new deal worth £20,000-a-week only last year but the Villains are set to offer him improved terms to reflect his growing importance to Tim Sherwood’s side.

The Mail claim that news filtering down of the types of contracts other young English players are on – who have made far less progress than Grealish – at clubs like Chelsea, has prompted Villa into action to make sure their star man is content at the Midlands club.

Grealish – who recently declared his intent to represent England after playing for the Republic of Ireland youth teams – has had a disrupted start to the season, with fitness issues limiting his impact thus far.

He now appears to be over his injury problems and is spending the international break on the training ground, in a bid to ensure he is fit for Villa's next Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge on October 17th.
