QPR fans react on Twitter to Ben Gladwin's loan move to Swindon Town

Queens Park Rangers have allowed Ben Gladwin to re-join Swindon Town on a 28-day loan.

Queens Park Rangers fans have generally been left bemused by the club sanctioning a deal to allow Ben Gladwin to join Swindon Town on loan.

Gladwin left Swindon to join QPR in the summer transfer window, but it has not taken him long to return to the County Ground.

The attacking midfielder made an excellent impression with the R's over pre-season, but he has not played much since the start of the competitive campaign.

Chris Ramsey has consistently picked other options in the squad ahead of Gladwin, leaving the 23-year-old with just three appearances in all competitions so far.

As a result, QPR decided to allow him to leave on loan, and Swindon jumped at the chance to bring one of their star players from last season back.

Gladwin will go straight into the Swindon squad, and he could play against Peterborough United for the Robins on Saturday.

QPR director of football Les Ferdinand explained the decision to loan Gladwin out on the club's official website

He said: “An injury has meant he’s subsequently struggled for game time, and we thought this was a great opportunity for him to get some games and come back fit and ready to go again.

“He’s only away for a month. And when he comes back, I’m sure he’ll be raring to go. He’s still got a massive future at QPR.”

However, Ferdinand's explanation didn't suffice for many QPR fans, who expressed their disappointment at the decision on social media site Twitter.
