Manchester City have suffered a blow with star striker Sergio Aguero suffering an injury on international duty with Argentina.
Aguero lasted only 20 minutes of their 2-0 World Cup qualifying loss to Ecuador, before being stretchered off with a hamstring problem, the BBC reported.
The forward had been in superb form, netting five goals in a 20 minute spell against Newcastle United in his last appearance, equalling a Premier League record the amount of goals scored in a game by a single player.
The extent of Aguero's injury will become clear, but hamstring injuries can take weeks to recover from, and the fact he had to be helped leave the field gives an indication this could be a more severe problem rather than just a tweak.
He faces missing out on City's next league game against Bournemouth, but of even more concern will be the Champions League clash against Sevilla, and the crucial derby against rivals Manchester United on October 25 at Old Trafford.
Here is a look at how Manchester City fans reacted to news of his injury...

Ffs Aguero has a serious injury and we don't have a proper striker except Kelechi. Bony isn't good enough #mcfc— Jacob, LL.M. (@Achillaes) October 9, 2015
