The former Liverpool star has told Klopp he is in safe hands at Anfield.
Today was the day all Liverpool fans have been waiting for, as the club unveiled Jurgen Klopp to the gathered press at Anfield.
The German cult hero takes over from Brendan Rodgers - who was sacked by the club last weekend.
Klopp will get into action with a fixture against Tottenham Hotspur next Saturday and will hope to bring his unique and exciting brand to football to Anfield immediately.
One man seemingly happy with his appointment is former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso. The ex-Kop hero is currently playing at Klopp's former domestic rivals Bayern Munich but of course spent five memorable years at Anfield before joining Real Madrid in 2009.
The former Spanish international remains a big fan of all things Liverpool and he has tweeted this message to Klopp on his official twitter account earlier today:
Welcome to the Liverpool family. YNWA Mr. Klopp!! pic.twitter.com/TkWcVHU3ye— Xabi Alonso (@XabiAlonso) October 9, 2015
Of course Klopp will need some time to settle at Anfield before we can see the full fruits of his labour. But if he is good enough for Xabi, then surely he is good enough for Liverpool.
