Leeds United striker Lee Erwin has signed on loan with Bury for 28 days.
Leeds United striker Lee Erwin says that he is looking forward to getting started at Bury, after completing a loan move to Gigg Lane on Friday.
Erwin has agreed to an initial 28-day switch to the League One side, as he looks to get used to playing in the English game.
Leeds signed Erwin from Motherwell over the summer, but he is yet to make his debut for the Whites, with most of his football coming for their development side.
The likes of Chris Wood, Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara are all ahead of Erwin in the pecking order at Elland Road and, as a result, Leeds felt that a loan move would serve his development best.
Erwin is clearly looking forward to getting started, and he has thanked Leeds and Bury fans for their support on social media site Twitter.
Thanks for the messages people. Looking forward to my time at @buryfcofficial— Lee Erwin (@LeeErwin19) October 9, 2015
Breaking into Bury's team will be no easy task for Erwin, though, as David Flitcroft's side have made an impressive start to the season.
Bury are currently sat in third place in the League One table, and face Wigan Athletic on Saturday, where Erwin could make his debut.
