Borussia Dortmund have congratulated former manager Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool have confirmed on their official website that Jurgen Klopp has been appointed as the club's new manager, replacing Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers, 42, lost his job on Sunday following a 1-1 draw against Merseyside rivals Everton, and the Reds have moved rapidly to find his successor.
48-year-old Klopp is the new man in the Anfield hotseat, having left Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season's trying Bundesliga campaign.
The German guided Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles during his time at Signal Iduna Park, whilst he also led them to the Champions League final against Bayern Munich in 2013.
Liverpool fans are understandably excited about their new manager, having watched him work miracles with former club Dortmund - and the German giants have now passed on their congratulations to Klopp.
The official Borussia Dortmund Twitter account have sent a message to Klopp wishing him the best of luck at Anfield, with Klopp remaining a firm hero with Dortmund fans.
Klopp's first match as Liverpool manager will be against Tottenham next weekend, with the German now having the rest of the international break to work with his new team.
