Yohan Cabaye joined Crystal Palace from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
Ex-Newcastle United star Cabaye left French giants Paris Saint-Germain for Premier League outfit Palace.
The 29-year-old moved to PSG from Newcastle in January 2014 after establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the English top flight.
Cabaye struggled to play regularly at PSG, but he is back to his best and has been one of the best players for Palace so far this season.
The former Lille midfielder started France’s friendly international against Armenia in Paris on Thursday and scored in the 55th minute.
Former Bayern star Lizarazu, who won the World Cup with France in 1998, was impressed with Cabaye’s performance on Thursday and has backed his decision to leave PSG for Palace in the summer.
The 45-year-old retired left-back has posted the following message on Twitter, which when translated from French reads: “@YCabayeofficiel proves that a player who plays too little at a club loses his confidence and abilities (see PSG). HIs return to England helped him in his recovery.”
