Twitter reacts to Gerard Deulofeu performance for Spain under-21s

Fans at Goodison Park

The youngster captained his nation to a comfortable 5-2 win.

Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu was one of the heroes for the Spanish under-21 side last night as they ran riot against Georgia in a European Under-21 Championships qualifier.

The former Barcelona player captained the Spanish side to a comfortable 5-2 win and was pivotal to proceedings.

He set up his former La Masia team-mate Munir El Hadadi for the opening goal after just two minutes before setting up Marco Asensio of Espanyol for his first goal at this level.

It was a great performance from the Everton man who has been showing flashes of his brilliance this season.

He stole the show in a recent Capital One Cup win over Reading at the Madejski Stadium. He struggled in the recent Merseyside derby, which has some over-criticising the lad, but it was still from his cross that Romelu Lukaku scored in the game.

There is no doubt that this summer Everton snapped up a real gem in their former loanee and on Twitter there was certainly a buzz after his most recent exploits.

Here is some of the best reaction...
