Bury

HITC Sport understands that promotion chasing League One outfit have won the battle to land Scottish striker

Bury have won the race to land Leeds United striker Lee Erwin on-loan, HITC Sport understands.

The 21-year-old joined Leeds in the summer from Motherwell, but so far Uwe Rosler is yet to give him his chance in the first-team.

Erwin has been on the bench on a handful of occasions but is yet to make his debut for the West Yorkshire giants, and hs had to make do with games for the under-21 side, scoring a brace in his last fixture. Now his first taste of English football is set to come elsewhere.

HITC Sport understands a host of League One clubs had come in for the Scottish youth international and now Bury have emerged as winners for his signature.

The Shakers, who won promotion on the last day of last season, have made a wonderful start to the new season under David Flitcroft and his side currently sit in third.

Flitcroft has now moved to land Erwin, on an initial month-long loan, to give Bury some further attacking options
