Northern Ireland are on the brink of qualifying for Euro 2016, with a victory against Greece this evening.
They sit on 17 points after eight games, whilst their opponents are out of the running for qualifying for the Finals, with just three points from the same number of games, and a victory puts Northern Ireland in their first major tournament since 1986.
Michael O’Neill is without some key players for the game this evening, with Jonny Evans out injured, whilst Kyle Lafferty, Chris Baird and Conor McLaughlin are all suspended.
Leeds United’s Stuart Dallas will be looking to forget his poor domestic form with a starting role, whilst Manchester United youngster Paddy McNair is in line to win his fourth cap for the international minnows. Jamie Ward of Nottingham Forest, Steven Davis of Southampton and Gareth McAuley on West Brom all play from the start as well.
Greece line up without a permanent manager in charge, having seen the deal for Bernd Schuster full through last week. They have just one English-based player in their squad, Jose Holebas of Watford.
The full line-ups are as follows:
Northern Ireland XI: McGovern, McAuley, McNair, Cathcart, Davis, Brunt, Evans, Dallas, Norwood, Ward, Magennis
Subs: Carroll, Mannus, Hodson, Ferguson, McCullough, Reeves, McGinn, Grigg, McKay, McCourt, McArdle, Boyce
