Taking a look at three young Tottenham Hotspur players who are impressing at under-21 level this season.
Tottenham Hotspur have some of the most exciting young players in the country coming through their ranks, and their under-21 side is full of blossoming talent.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has already shown that if you are good enough you are old enough for his side, with the likes of Nabil Bentaleb and Eric Dier playing integral roles and Harry Winks and Alex Pritchard brought into the first-team fold.
Here we take a look at three of Tottenham’s best performing under-21 players so far this season:
Cameron Carter-Vickers is being tipped by many to become a first-team star for Tottenham sooner rather than later, despite the fact that he is still only 17.
The USA under-20 international is now the captain for Tottenham’s under-21s and in time he will grow into a phenomenal centre-back.
Perhaps the most surprising name on this list is 18-year-old left winger Anthony Georgiou, but the way he has started this season cannot be ignored.
He has featured four times for Tottenham’s under-21 side this campaign but the match that earns him a place on this list was against Leicester City, when he provided three assists in a 7-4 victory, showing just what a creative catalyst he can be.
He may only be 18, but striker Shayon Harrison is making a real name for himself in the under-21s this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in just five outings to date.
Last season Harrison was exceptional for Tottenham’s under-18 side, scoring a hat-trick against Arsenal and netting four times in one match against Chelsea.
This season he has continued where he left off and the future looks very bright for him at White Hart Lane.
