The Manchester United icon was at his very best when answering a question about the availability of Robbie Keane.
Martin O’Neill’s side are facing a couple of crunch Euro 2016 qualifiers in the coming days, with Germany visiting the Aviva Stadium on Thursday before travelling to Warsaw to play Poland next week.
But with Robbie Keane’s wife Claudine giving birth to the couple’s second son this week, some had questioned whether the 35-year-old would be available for selection.
Keane has scored five goals for Ireland during qualifying so far and is expected to lead the line once again.
And when quizzed on his possible absence, his namesake, and Ireland’s assistant manager, Roy Keane was at his bristling best.

Robbie Keane, meanwhile, will be keen to face Germany again, having famously announced himself on the world stage with a late equaliser against Die Mannschaft at the 2002 World Cup.
Obviously Roy Keane will remember that tournament for different reasons.
