Report: Juventus not interested in Arsenal’s Mathieu Debuchy

The Gunners defender is keen on a move after falling behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order.

According to Sky Sports, Italian champions Juventus are not interested in a move for Arsenal full-back Mathieu Debuchy.

The Italians had been linked with a potential move for the defender in the January transfer window, with their current right-back Stephane Lichsteiner out with a cardiac issue.

That has forced them to play centre-back Giorgio Chiellini in his place, a situation that is not ideal for them given their poor start to the season.

The player, meanwhile, has been linked with a move to away from the Gunners due to a lack of first-team football, with young Spaniard Hector Bellerin having been favoured by manager Arsene Wenger.

Juventus will not be a possible destination, though, with the Italians reportedly not interested in a move. In fact, they are not looking at new recruits at all, according to Sky Sports.

Given Debuchy’s performances so far in the Premier League for Newcastle Unitedand Arsenal, it’s fair to say that several sides in England would be interested in his services.

The Frenchman is sure to push for a move as well, given that he was left out of France’s recent squad and Euro 2016 is fast approaching. Whether Arsenal will be willing to sell, though, is another matter entirely.
