Tottenham Hotspur winger Nacer Chadli has been photographed with Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel and Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini after he joined up with his Belgian teammates for international duty.
Chadli has featured 10 times for Tottenham so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.
That is a far cry from his outstanding start to the previous campaign, but the 26-year-old is still a vital player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and he will be hoping to help his side finish as high as possible in the league and potentially win some silverware to boot.
But for now Chadli is focusing on Belgium’s upcoming matches with Andorra and Israel in Euro 2016 qualifying Group B, and he was snapped with two of his countrymen in an image that he later posted on his official Twitter account.
Chadli’s international teammate Witsel was one of the players linked with a possible move to Tottenham during the summer, but ultimately central midfield was one of the few areas Pochettino opted not to strengthen.
The Telegraph claimed the Zenit star was interesting Spurs as they continued their pursuit of West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino, but we all know how that turned out.
